Inspired Education Groups Spain's Inspired AI Showcase, powered by CENTURY, the AI-powered teaching and learning paltformWe recently had the pleasure of co-hosting an Inspired AI showcase event in Madrid, bringing together educators from a selection of Inspired schools in Spain. It was a fantastic opportunity to  discuss successful implementation strategies and explore the impact of AI on teaching and learning. The event was attended by representatives from across the Inspired Education Group, both those already using the Inspired AI platform, powered by CENTURY, and others looking to implement it in the near future.

Sean Corrigan from Inspired HQ opened the event, and Jordan Scearce from CENTURY shared some incredible usage statistics from the group: ten of the Inspired Spain schools have answered over 2.3 million questions on the Inspired AI platform! We then went on to hear directly from educators successfully using the platform.

King’s College School La Moraleja

Billy Marbe, Director of Digital Learning at King’s College School La Moraleja, shared his school’s journey with implementing the platform, referencing their structured approach informed by the Educational Endowment Foundation’s guidance. The implementation began with training a drive team and a ‘soft launch’ in a smaller section of the school, specifically Year 6. This was followed by training all relevant staff for a wider launch, along with pupil assemblies and parent talks to establish consistent expectations. To sustain momentum, they’ve used strategies like the Winter Cup to motivate pupils and are now looking to build on their use of the platform as a homework tool to integrate it more into the classroom.

Colegio San Patricio La Moraleja

Next up, Ed Etuk, Digital Coordinator, and Beatriz Molina, Primary Coordinator, at Colegio San Patricio La Moraleja, delivered a presentation focusing on their successful adoption of the platform in a mainly Spanish-speaking school context. They spoke about how Inspired AI has been instrumental in supporting intervention students. The platform’s ability to provide teachers with actionable data and personalise learning at scale has enabled them to effectively support students with extremely differing needs and had led to a significant reduction in teacher workload. They also highlighted the valuable support received from the CENTURY team and their plans to continue evolving their usage beyond primary in the future.

King’s College School Soto de Viñuelas

Luke Tamblyn, Head of Year 4 & eLearning Coordinator Primary at King’s College School Soto de Viñuelas, focused his presentation on the challenges families in Madrid face regarding screen time control and the need to justify the purposeful use of technology to parents. A key strategy is getting parents on side by sharing the rationale behind using the platform. Luke also shared an innovative approach to learning: combining nuggets with real-world applications, such as completing a fractions nugget on the platform and then making a pizza at home, cutting it into the relevant fractions to demonstrate understanding.
