Learn more Explore the different ways you can use CENTURY Trainees can upskill in key concepts using CENTURY's resources for support. Our videos and slideshows, followed by assessment questions allow trainees to gain a secure understanding of a topic before teaching it. We have English, maths and science content for primary and secondary alongside KS4 courses for geography and PE. Our English, maths and science content is developed by experienced teachers and is mapped to the English National Curriculum for KS1-4. We also have KS4 courses for geography and theory PE. The Department for Education (DfE) requires a provider-led assessment of fundamental English and maths skills in order to award Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). CENTURY analyses each trainee's areas of development and provides them with a bespoke programme of teaching modules (nuggets) that will address their specific needs. The combination of CENTURY’s initial diagnostics, the supporting nuggets and the vast resource bank has really supported us in increasing the subject knowledge of our trainees. The big thing for us is the bespoke nature of the platform. Every trainee can follow their own journey, depending on what they have to teach in their school. The fact that it responds to the needs of individual trainees and their starting points makes it really helpful.
