Angela Rayner visits Pembrokeshire Action for the Homeless (PATH)

CENTURY is proud to work with Pembrokeshire Action for the Homeless (PATH), who recently received a visit from Angela Rayner MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, who recognised the impact of the charity in tackling homelessness within Pembrokeshire.

PATH integrates the CENTURY platform into their Numeracy Project, designed for adults aged 19 and over who want to build their confidence with numbers to manage their finances better, pursue qualifications or enhance employability.

The charity takes a holistic approach, providing mental health counselling and support workers during the numeracy sessions. Learners told the Deputy Prime Minister that they had not just benefitted from better numeracy skills, but also improvements in their mental health, reduced social anxiety and loneliness.

In a discussion with PATH Managing Director, Michael Hooper, Rayner was positive about the charity’s wraparound approach, “It’s not just the numeracy, but the social interaction, the confidence… you can see firsthand the incredible work that’s going on here.”

Watch the video below to find out more about PATH and what they like about the CENTURY platform (fast forward to 2:32 to hear specifically about CENTURY).

We will be sharing more about PATH’s success using CENTURY in the coming week, so stay tuned.
