We are honoured to have been awarded COBIS’s Supporting Associate of the Year Award for our work with the British School Salalah (BSS) and British School Muscat (BSM) in implementing their innovative iGCSE curriculum FlexEd.

The curriculum combines face to face learning with online teaching and independent study, underpinned by CENTURY. Through a unique combination of teacher ingenuity, collaboration and technology, the programme has enabled the schools to extend the reach of quality, affordable British education to more students in areas that have not historically had the infrastructure to support proper Key Stage 3 and 4 education.

It’s been fantastic to see the success of FlexEd so far. In a parental survey shared following the first term of using the new curriculum, 100% of parents agreed that their child was making good progress, they could see this progress and would recommend the programme to others. 100% of students agreed that “compared to traditional ways of learning, I think FlexEd gives me the best of both worlds - face to face AND online learning”.

We believe that BSS and BSM’s forward-thinking approach will inspire schools across the globe, particularly in areas where the cost of providing high-quality international schooling remains a barrier, and we are proud to work with such innovative schools.
