Launched in 2021, the CENTURY Ambassador Network is a community of experienced teachers who are exemplary CENTURY users. The network provides members with a way to connect with like-minded teachers, and allows us to ensure that CENTURY continues to evolve in a way that best meets the needs of students and educationalists.
In this blog post, Senior Account Manager Katie, who manages the network, shares an overview of the first year's events and explains how you can apply to join next year.
Since I took ownership of the network in September 2021, we have organised nine incredibly varied events for our ambassadors. It has been inspiring to see the many innovative ways that CENTURY has been used to support learners around the world, and we were honoured to welcome a range of expert guest speakers.
Speaker events
We know that looking after students’ mental wellbeing is one of the greatest challenges facing schools today, and it was brilliant to hear Ross Morrison McGill (Founder of Teacher Toolkit) share his insights on how best to support staff and students in this regard.
We also hosted Sir Anthony Seldon, an eminent historian, political biographer and educationalist, who spoke to the network about a number of current events, most recently the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Whilst a difficult topic to discuss, it was incredibly thought-provoking to hear his views on not only the conflict itself, but also on the huge amount of disruption to the education of students in the region.
Roundtables
We ran a number of product roundtable events with our ambassadors to discuss their thoughts on CENTURY and how various features could be enhanced. We are grateful for all of the feedback that was shared throughout these events, and we look forward to implementing some of the suggested changes and enhancements in the near future to continue to improve the platform for our schools and colleges.
Presentations from our users
Finally, we had some wonderful presentations from members of the network on how CENTURY is used in their classrooms and the role it is playing in preparing students for upcoming exams. These events offered an excellent opportunity for members to share ideas and best practice.
