School, college and organisational accounts: At a glance

What does CENTURY do with user information?

We only use your information to enable you to use the platform, to help us improve it and to make learning recommendations. Sometimes we pass it to other companies to allow us to run our platform, for example, our data servers, or our email management system, you can see who those companies are here. We never sell your data.

Why does CENTURY need personal information?

It is very important to have details like your name, email address or age to enable you to access the platform easily and help give a personalised platform experience. It also enables your teachers or tutors to understand how learners are performing.

How does CENTURY have permission to hold and process personal information?

CENTURY is a data processor, this means it acts on the instructions of the school, college or organisation (the ‘controller’). This is agreed in our terms and conditions and Privacy Policy, which can be found below. It is the responsibility of the school, college or organisation to gain the consent of users to share their data with CENTURY.

How long does CENTURY hold it for?

We hold student and teacher data for up to 180 days after the end of a subscription. Some teacher data, and information from customer service queries may be held for up to 6 years. All users have a right to deletion under GDPR.

Where is the data stored?

Our data is held in the UK or the EEA.

What does the AI do and does it use personal data?

Our AI is used to make learning recommendations to personalise your learning experience. We never train our AI on data that could be linked to you personally.
