CENTURY has been named overall winner of the Spectator Economic Disruptor of the Year Awards, an awards scheme to recognise the innovative British firms having the biggest positive influence on their sectors.
Sponsored by Julius Baer, the awards are a celebration of creative entrepreneurship throughout the UK. This year’s awards focussed on the innovations with the strongest ability to scale-up globally while having the potential to make a positive contribution to society and human wellbeing.
CENTURY was judged out of 150 nominations to be both the regional London and overall winner.
Collecting the award, Priya Lakhani OBE, Founder CEO of CENTURY Tech, said:
“CENTURY’s mission is to harness the most advanced technologies to help teachers to improve the life chances of children across the world.
“My incredible team at CENTURY and I are honoured to win the Spectator Economic Disruptor of the Year Award. With more than half a billion children across the world lacking basic literacy and numeracy skills, it is vital that we equip teachers with the technology they need to deliver an excellent education.
“We are privileged to work with thousands of incredible and inspiring teachers across the world. Above all, this award is in recognition of their hard work and courage.”
