We caught up with Curtis from South Staffordshire College – the student with the longest running learning streak on CENTURY – to hear how he has continued to progress with his studies. We recognised his achievements last year and are so pleased to hear he has maintained his learning streak.

Tell us about your learning journey so far.

I started on a Gateway to Motor Vehicle course with no qualifications. I progressed to level 1 and passed my English GCSE with a grade 4 in my second year. As I studied my Level 2, I achieved a Grade 4 in Maths and I have just completed my Level 3 motor vehicle course.

How have you managed to maintain such an impressive streak?

I allocate time each week to complete nuggets and have continued this even through the holidays.

What are your favourite things about CENTURY?

The ability to see how well I have done, areas for improvement and the badges that are issued for different milestones.

Watch the video shared by South Staffordshire College where Curtis talks about his journey using CENTURY below:

What are your plans for after college?

I currently have a part-time job but I want a job in the motor Industry. Eventually, I want to be a mobile mechanic.

“Curtis is a focused individual with a great work ethic. He constantly challenges himself and always wants to do the best he can. He could see very early on that CENTURY was helping him improve with his maths and English, so the drive to continue with it was born.” Craig Hancox, Director of English and Maths at South Staffordshire College

We are so glad CENTURY has been able to support Curtis and we wish him the very best for his future endeavours!
